History


Since launching his brand in 1985, Tommy Hilfiger has become globally renowned as the pioneer of his “Classic American Cool” style. Taking inspiration from pop culture and American heritage, Tommy Hilfiger has led his brand to become one of the most famous lifestyle brands in the world.

Hilfiger’s fashion career began with the opening of his first store, People’s Place in 1969 in Elmira, New York. He later moved to Manhattan where his namesake brand was launched in 1985. Since then, the label has grown to encompass a number of collections including Hilfiger Collection for women, Tailored for men and Hilfiger Denim, each stocked throughout five continents.

Hilfiger Tailored – Integrating a sharp, sophisticated style with the brands American heritage, Hilfiger Tailored offers a range of formal suiting through to more casual pieces. Classic styles with precision cuts, premium fabrics and luxe details, executed with the brand’s signature twist.
